Once your application and payment has been received for visa processing, you will be given a reference number to complete a health/medical examination in your home country. The medical report will be directly linked to the application system via a standard Health Examination Form approved by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia.

SKY International Academy will proceed to apply for the VAL with the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) in Malaysia. This process may require approximately 6-8 weeks. EMGS is a one-stop centre established by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia to manage and administer the student pass of all international students.

You will be notified by SKY upon receiving the VAL from EMGS. SKY will email the VAL to you. Students from Single Entry Visa (SEV) required countries are responsible to bring the original VAL together with passport to the nearest Malaysia Embassy/Consulate to obtain a single entry permit prior to entering Malaysia to avoid a fine or being turned back at the airport.

SKY provides airport pick-up service for newly arrived international students commencing their programme. To arrange for this service, request is essential and must be made via email to inform us five (5) calendar days prior to your arrival in Malaysia.

Once you have submitted your request, you will receive a confirmation email with further details including the arrival procedures and documents required for immigration clearance.

This pick-up service is only available at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA 2) and Subang Skypark Airport.

You are advised to plan your arrival on a working day, Mon-Fri between 9am-6pm (try to avoid weekend or public holidays).

Please fill in the Disembarkation Card (Arrival Card), which will be provided by the airline crew or obtainable at the arrival hall. Upon arrival at the airport, you are required to proceed to the Immigration Check Point and show your Visa Approval Letter (VAL) and Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to the Immigration Officer.

You will not be able to perform your own immigration clearance. Our friendly SKY representative will be in the designated meeting point to meet you. They will send you to the SKY campus and help you to check-in to your accommodation/hostel.

Upon your arrival at SKY International Academy, our Student Liaison staff will provide you with an orientation and welcome kit containing important information such as Immigration rules and regulations, the Academy details, your study schedule, etc.

You will also be required to complete all pending documents and hand in your passport to SKY for endorsement by immigration. Failure to hand in passport for endorsement may result in you overstaying your current visit pass or be classified as an illegal immigrant by the Malaysian Immigration Department.

During the first week of your arrival, you will be required to take an English placement test, and complete you post-arrival medical examination.

You will be required to attend class according to the schedule given. All international students must meet a minimum of 80% attendance to class. Failure of meeting this requirement may result in a revoke of your student pass.
